Eriswell Chequers Smokehouse: A Culinary Gem in Eriswell

We've just walked from Mildenhall to see what The Chequers is now like. Beautiful interior, the new owners were welcoming including their gorgeous dog . We had just a couple of snacks, the seasoned fries were lovely and crispy and Dingley Dell pork belly bites, well they were DELICIOUS and well worth the visit just for those delights! Definitely will be back.

Cherquers Smokehouse by far exceeded my expectations. The food was fantastic and the service was warm and welcoming. We went with our kids and was pleased to see the restaurant full of other families as well. I was initially hesitant because of past reviews about kids on social media, but that was far from our experience. We will definitely return and I will happily recommend Chequers to all my friends. It was such a nice night out.

Very good experience for us. We enjoyed the cod with fries and mushy peas along with the chicken and leek pie. Both were delicious and a very hearty portion! The cask ale was smooth. The interior was very clean and comfy and the restrooms were very clean. Lots of parking in the rear. This is on our list to visit again when we return to the area.

The food was fantastic and people were great. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their bbq. Their home made fries are brilliant. And the hot dog was bloody delicious! If you’re in the area don’t hesitate to give it a go. Glad I found this on google randomly.

Lovely sunday dinner here, and they even wrapped up what i couldn't eat, nice size portion. Lovely people.... beautiful food. Dessert was to die for !

Haven't had a better meal in a long time. My fish and chips were simply perfect. Mango cheesecake, a sin. Had I lived closer, I would have been a regular.

This was a nearly perfect experience for a Sunday roast. The place was really popular, but there was plenty of outside seating and the weather was great. We could choose from four options: chicken, lamb, beef, or pork. The food was delicious. The meat was tender, the gravy was savory, the vegetables were fresh and perfectly prepared, and the pudding was some of the best I've had. The staff also gave a complimentary cauliflower casserole which was delicious and a very kind gesture. Even though the place was popular, the staff took time to make us feel welcome, get us proper seating, and extend some warm hospitality. I will be going back.
